Our story
We saw what bad tools were costing Kenyan entrepreneurs.
Walk into any hustle in Nairobi: a design studio in Westlands, a consultancy in Upper Hill, a salon in Kilimani, a construction firm in Kiambu. The businesses are serious. The revenue is real. But the tools? WhatsApp screenshots as invoices. Phone contacts as a customer database. M-Pesa messages as financial records.
It was not a technology problem. These entrepreneurs were using smartphones, fast internet, and M-Pesa every day. It was a product problem. The tools that existed were either built for Western markets or priced for large enterprises. Nobody had built the right tool for the Kenyan entrepreneur.
We did not build Elona CRM to compete with Zoho or HubSpot. We built it to solve a problem that Zoho and HubSpot will never prioritise, because their customers are not in Nairobi.
Elona CRM launched as the flagship product of Elona Group Limited, a holding company built to solve real problems for the Kenyan business ecosystem. The same ecosystem that drives GDP growth, creates employment, and represents the engine of Kenya's economy.
We started with invoicing, client management, and M-Pesa integration because those are the three things every Kenyan entrepreneur needs to run a professional, financially organised business from day one.
